Purpose: When you use multiple computers, you seldom have your bookmarks handy. This way, you keep your bookmarks on the web, in a database which is usually available.When you use networkable PDAs or smartphones, it may be difficult to create bookmarks and to navigate to pages. You can create bookmarks on your other computer, and save the portable bookmarks for use with the PDA.
Use: Simply click on the vertical list of bookmarks presented on the main page.
Paste the URL into the box (keep the http://) and click the Add Bookmark button.You can copy an URL:
- by selecting it from the page you are on, and using Ctrl+C to copy it into the clipboard, and Ctrl+V to paste it into the Add Bookmark box.
- right-click a link and choose Copy Shortcut.
- If you can display two windows on your desktop system, have one with the portable bookmark page, and the other your desired web page, drag the URL from your displayed page to the Add Bookmark box.
The Link Name and the URL can be edited now or later.
You can categorize your bookmarks. You can either select from the drop-down list, or create new category by simply typing into the box. The default category name is "General." Your categories, will be presented in the first line of the main bookmark page, and will be available in the drop-down list.
Click a category name to see only the bookmarks in that category. If there's one view that you prefer, you may choose to make this view your home page on your computer or PDA.
To see all your bookmarks and their categories click [Edit] and then click [Categories]
From the main bookmark page, click [Edit]" Editing will appear at the top of the main bookmark page, and clicking a bookmark will now lead to the Editing Form. Here you can edit or delete an existing bookmark or cancel editing.
When you are finished editing your bookmarks, click [List Newest] or [List Alphabetic] to return to the main bookmark page.
